He joined erstwhile PSEB in the year 1987 as Assistant Engineer and served in different positions mainly with Thermal Designs, Transmission System Design, State Load Despatch Centre and Power Purchase & Regulation (PP&R) wings. He rose to the level of Chief Engineer in January 2020 and was designated as Engineer-in Chief in October 2021. Prior to his appointment as Director/Technical, he was serving as Engineer-in-Chief/PP&R in PSPCL
